Overview of Hatpara Vivek Seva Niketan (HVSN)

A joint initiative with HVSN, Jayanagar, with an to educate & enable local first-generation learners and inculcate the value of education to students and their parents. Along with academic studies students are taught music and drawing. They been engaged with active sports, fun activities and community engagements. students have provided one balanced meal at day time towards better nourishment and adequate support with school accessories, books and dresses. Every willing & capable student has been moved to higher education scholarship – Aalo program, after they completes 10th standards successfully. While promoting education, Tapassya & HVSN had kickstarted a pilot enterprise of diary & agriculture production with the local families (mostly the parents of the students) with an objective to make them self-reliant Other than this Tapassya Jyoti initiatives, HVSN conducts medical camps, clothes & blanket distributions to elderly men and women.

• Established in 1999 in the ideals of Swami Vivekanada, Shri Shri Ramakrishna and Ma Sarada Devi
• Association with Tapassya started in 2009 through food and clothes distribution and free medical camp.
• 'Tapassya Bhavan' was inaugurated on 2nd November 2014 to scale up the day care facilities to more local kids.
• So far 83 local students have been mentored at HVSN in its Day Care facility.
• Over 32 students has passed the Madhyamik Examination since 2017.
• Scholarship offered to 19 needy students to meet their educational expenses.
• 4 students had completed 3 Yrs Diploma Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Cyber Forensic, GIS & GPS streams) , 2 of them working in private sectors, one completing B-tech while another students have started his own business (Cyber Café & Digital Help Center).
• 1 Student have completed BASLP and doing internship from Ali Yavar Jung National Institute of Speech and Hearing Disabilities, Kolkata, Dunlop

Current state: On-boarded with 25 students from class 5 to class 10 both male and female. Every year as the session starts , new students get enrolled only on class 5. 5 Specialist teachers along with Rabin Paik (Founder of HVSN) taking daily classes , while members from tapassya conducts online and offline classes for special groups.
